Before SunStyle, homeowners and businesses faced a difficult choice: embrace the benefits of solar energy or maintain the aesthetic integrity of their properties. This gap in the market inspired our founders to create a product that offers the best of both worlds.
SunStyle continues to innovate and expand its global footprint, participating in key industry events like the Swiss Photovoltaics Conference. The company remains dedicated to providing aesthetically pleasing, durable, and efficient solar roofing solutions worldwide.
The company received multiple accolades, including the Archello Award for Roof Cladding of the Year and recognition from The Architect’s Newspaper for Best Product in the roofing category. Additionally, SunStyle formed a strategic partnership with CertainTeed, a leading North American manufacturer, to broaden its U.S. offerings.
SunStyle expanded its influence in Germany by partnering with Sebastian Rose in North Rhine-Westphalia, aiming to capitalize on the region’s significant market opportunities and commitment to renewable energy.
To better serve our North American customers, we expanded our global presence by establishing a U.S. office focused on engineering, sales, and delivery. This move marked our commitment to bringing innovative solar solutions to a broader audience.
SunStyle International SAS was established in Paris, in partnership with Akuo Energy, to sales in France.
We introduced groundbreaking photovoltaic color coating technology, expanding our product line to include terracotta-red and slate-gray solar tiles. These innovations were later showcased at the France Pavilion during Expo 2020 Dubai, demonstrating our commitment to both design and sustainability.
SunStyle secured a patent for its building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), solidifying its position as a leader in the solar industry. This year also marked the beginning of our international expansion, with distribution partners established across Europe.
Innovation continued as the SunStyle team optimized energy output by incorporating active edge elements into the design. This advancement maximized energy generation while maintaining a uniform and aesthetically pleasing roof appearance.
SunStyle made a significant impact by constructing the world’s largest building-integrated solar power plant at Saint Charles International in Perpignan, France. This marked the beginning of our journey towards large-scale solar integration.
SunStyle was founded by André and Mario Posnansky, introducing the innovative concept of a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roof that combines energy generation with architectural aesthetics.
